PREMIERE!
The premiere of “Tanga” took place in 1965, a few years before the Polish March, the Parisian May and the Woodstock Festival. Sławomir Mrozek sensed that the time is coming when youth will speak loudly in matters of culture, politics or economy. In his drama, he presented the conflict of order and chaos generationally, but paradoxically, he placed the youngest generation on the guard of tradition.
Sixty years later, for the third time, questions will arise on the Częstochowa stage about the boundaries that culture and society set for us. Symbols are changing, but we are still examining whether the existing status quo is the result of natural human needs or the result of our fears and prejudices.
