Tarja Turunen - The Spirit of Christmas 2026

Tarja Turunen is one of the most recognizable artists from the Finnish music scene and her voice has been associated with the symphonic face of metal for years. International recognition was brought to her work in Nightwish, with which at the turn of the century she co-created a sound combining metallic intensity with operatic soprano. Since 2006 he has consistently developed a solo career, moving freely between rock, symphonic and classical music.

A special place in her achievements is occupied by the festive repertoire, which Tarja has been developing for years. The albums “From Spirits and Ghosts (Score for a Dark Christmas)” and “Dark Christmas” presented Christmas in a more reflective, sometimes darker light, far from the obvious associations. Their natural complement is the album “Score for a Dark Christmas”, released on December 5 - a carefully composed whole, combining tracks from both releases in a new order and binding. You will be able to hear the repertoire balancing between the light and the shadow of Christmas time again next year at concerts in Poznań and Bielsko-Biała.
