THEATER FROM THE KITCHEN

Seniors are invited to monthly Monday afternoons at the Tadeusz Różewicz Theatre, during which, in a relaxed atmosphere, you can actively participate in exciting workshop activities related to stage work. The meetings have a practical form — it is an opportunity to be in the theatrical space in an unusual way, to work creatively and to talk with other participants. After the workshop we invite you to have a coffee together in our cafe.

Tickets: 30zł. The price includes participation in the event and refreshments in the cafe (coffee+cake).

PROGRAM:

A unique meeting with a team of seniors who created the performance “Archive of Voices — The Point of Reception of Dreams, Problems and Doubts”. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know the behind the scenes of the creation of the play, talk with its creators and see how the theater can become a space to tell about their own experiences, dreams and everyday life. An integral part of the meeting will be an exclusive screening of selected fragments of the performance with a commentary by the director, who will talk about the creative process, work with the team and the stories that made up the stage archive of human voices.

Workshop dedicated to the art of theatrical costume, during which participants will learn about selected costumes from the repertoire of the theater and the stories hidden in their cuts, fabrics and details. You will be able to see the costumes up close, try on selected pieces and listen to the wardrobe or dressmaker's story about how the stage illusion is created and what role the costume plays in character building.

A meeting dedicated to the work of the new patron of the theater, Tadeusz Różewicz. Participants will learn lesser-known facts from the life of the poet and playwright, and selected poems and fragments of dramas will be presented in the interpretation of the actor. This is an opportunity to discover Różewicz not only as one of the most outstanding Polish artists, but also as an author whose texts still inspire and provoke conversations about the modern world.

A unique meeting to introduce you to the atmosphere of the holidays through joint caroling. Traditional Polish carols and pastoral songs will sound in an intimate, warm atmosphere, encouraging participants to sing and talk together. It will be an opportunity for a festive meeting, integration and spending time with coffee, tea and Christmas cake in a theatrical group, and inner balance and deepening of presence — both in everyday life and in stage activities.
