Description of the show:
“Closeness is when your hands freeze, and he warms the pebble and puts the warm one in your hands.” “Closeness is when you can not only be yourself, but when you are happy for who you are in someone else's life.”
“Closeness is when you stand with touching glass eyes and open hands in which to lay the greatest secret, a tired face and the promise of permanence.”
“Closeness is an unspoken word - love.”
The show “The Chairs” is a conversation about closeness, inspired by the creators' collected descriptions of authentic stories and experiences of many anonymous people, of different ages, from different backgrounds. The authors of the play raise a question about the condition of modern methods of establishing relationships. They also touch on an issue that a large part of society faces - loneliness.
“The Chairs” is a duo of Adam Kuza and Sara Kozłowska, who become transmitters of stories about relationships, relationships, meetings and separations of other people, at the same time finding themselves in them and weaving their own experiences and sensitivity into them. In the process, they seek a delicate balance between what is casual, light and fun, and what is difficult, painful and moving.
