Teatr Polska: TINA — a performance inspired by the life of Tina Turner

We invite you to a moving theatrical performance inspired by the life of one of the greatest icons of 20th century music.

We will explore the story of a woman who lived for years in the shadow of a toxic relationship with Ike Turner, only to do what seemed impossible - to return to the stage as a nearly 50-year-old rock 'n' roll star and conquer the world on her own terms.

Tina Turner's greatest hits will sound in completely new interpretations, becoming the backdrop for stories of violence, manipulation, reclaiming her own voice and the courage to fight for herself.

This is Tina's story. But above all, the story of thousands of women who every day try to break out of relationships that take away their self-esteem and freedom. The show shows with extraordinary sensitivity the next stages of life with a toxic partner — from the first signals, through difficult decisions, to the moment when you can say: “From today on I choose myself”.

It is a theater that moves, inspires and gives hope. It does not moralize. He does not evaluate.

TEATR POLSKA is a nationwide program organized since 2009 by the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute.
