Teitur & Pernille

Pernille Rosendahl and Teitur have long felt a musical kinship. That was evident to them as well as the audience when they debuted as a duo at Smukfest this summer.

Because even with years of experience and a large repertoire to draw on, you can still surprise both each other and yourself. This is exactly what Pernille Rosendahl is pleased about in the collaboration:

“When Teitur and I play together, it feels a bit like two grown children playing. There is a freedom between us that I care very much about. We have the songs and everything we each come up with, but we can also let ourselves go somewhere else along the way. The feeling that something might happen that we had not planned, I think is wonderful to share with an audience,” says Pernille Rosendahl.

Now they get together about the songs and the joys of playing together. With two such personal voices and a shared appetite for testing ideas, the music has the opportunity to change both shape and colour along the way.
