What is Oscar Hansen's Open Form Theory? During the workshop you will have the opportunity not only to find out, but above all to enjoy the case and experience a process that stimulates the imagination and breaks out of stagnation.
Oskar Hansen, a Polish architect, painter and theorist, presented his Open Form theory in 1959 at the CIAM (International Congress of Modern Architecture) in Otterlo. It assumed that architecture, but also other fields of art, should not be finite, despotic works (Closed Form — FZ), but a non-intrusive background that gives the recipient the possibility of free action (Open Form — FO). The former work of FZ - undemocratic, imposed, dominant, created according to the hierarchical logic of patriarchy - is to be replaced by the work of FO, created according to the ideas of matriarchy, trusting the recipient and leaving him space for action, open to cooperation and unpredictable variability of reality.

Curator of the collection of contemporary art in the collections of MuFo.
Open Working Group — established in February 2025 in preparation for the exhibition “Do not look away. Reflections on Katarzyna Kozyra's” Olympia” show. The group is made up of people from different generations and backgrounds. Initially, an incidental artistic activity was planned, which quickly evolved into regular weekly meetings of a consultative and creative nature. The group was supposed to end its activity after the opening of the exhibition, but at the request of the people who created it, it worked throughout its duration, and after closing it became involved in another project, that is, an almost year process of working with the work of Zofia Kulik, which results in this exhibition.
The membership of the Group is open, anyone can join or leave it at any time.
Persons involved in the process of creation of the exhibition “Zofia Kulik. Instead of sculpture.
