Never before in human history has labor been so productive. In theory, we could be the laziest species in the world and only focus on the things we really care about. Practically? We have no time for anything, we work more and more, notoriously exceed the capabilities of the human body. According to research, one in five of us experiences symptoms of exhaustion.

About the event

Never before in human history has labor been so productive. In theory, we could be the laziest species in the world and only focus on the things we really care about. Practically? We have no time for anything, we work more and more, notoriously exceed the capabilities of the human body. According to research, one in five of us experiences symptoms of exhaustion.

Paradoxically, however, it is not the excess of responsibility that makes us sick in the modern world, but the pervasive cult of success. Maybe it's time for our firm opposition and change?

We invite you to our (without) drowsiness clinic, where theoretically nothing will pass us by and in which practically everything will bypass us. We invite you to a group session of slowing down, to a story about the search for rest in a fast-paced world 24/7. Directed and written by: Bartłomiej JuszczakSet, video, light: Jakub Kotynia Music: Michał SmajdorCostumes: Kamila WdowskaChoreography: Ensemble Starring: Martyna Dyląg, Sandra Guzowska, Aleksandra Kądziołka, Jan Sarata Project implemented with funds from the “Creative Scholarship of the City of Krakow”

The performance is co-financed by the Stanisław Wyspiański Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków as part of the Fundusz na Start programme.
