Now everything will be history. Storytelling through collages

We invite you to the workshops accompanying the exhibitions Now everything will be different and Tokyo Story, which can be visited in the Europe - Far East Gallery of the Manggha Museum until October 25, 2026. The classes are dedicated to people over 16 years of age.

During the meeting, participants will take part in an educational tour of the expositions, which will become a starting point for reflections on the construction and presentation of history. Then they will get acquainted with the traditions of storytelling present in Poland, Japan and Taiwan. The most distinctive forms of storytelling will be presented, from oral traditions to novel genres.

Inspired by the content presented at the exhibition, participants will participate in storytelling and collage workshops, during which they will try to connect realities that are geographically or chronologically distant from each other. Could a place known to us have its doppelganger at the other end of the world? Or, on the contrary, what is it like when a building that has been with us forever disappears without a trace? Together we will try to tell extraordinary stories of places through visual language using collage technique.

The meeting will take place on Friday, October 16 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the classroom of the Europa — Far East Gallery. The materials are provided by the organizer, but we encourage you to bring your own photos and art materials that you would like to use in creating collages.
