Once founded as a fun project, The Bausa's music has evolved over the last five years from Norwegian Gen Z party music to modern dance pop with global reach. The trio achieved their national breakthrough in their native Norway after just two years when they were nominated for three Spellemann Prizes in 2023. In 2024, they reached number 2 in the Norwegian album charts with their debut album “Ung & Dum” and cemented their position as Norwegian top act. In 2025, their song “Overfladisk” was nominated as song of the year for fourth recognition at the Spellemannprisen and also left the trio on break through the international market. But since the release of their single “Magnetic” in February 2026, The Bausa have made their international breakthrough perfect. Since its release, the song has become a real summer hit and, since its release, has been streamed over 51 million streams on Spotify to
About the event
Originally founded as Brødrene Bausa (Bausa brothers), the three Norwegian school friends Edvard Bræin Groth, Fredrik von Krogh and Philip Bergenstjerna started making music in 2021. Songs were created early on that could be classified as typical Norwegian party music of the 2010s — so-called Russian music — and took up the Eurodance of the 1990s in terms of sound. With lyrics about alcohol, drugs and sex, songs such as the Norwegian top 10 tracks “Mawbys” (2022) and “Turné” (2023) became prime examples of her early sound, which regularly brought her to the domestic single charts from 2022 but was increasingly changing. With a new focus on general party music, the debut album “Ung & Dum” was released in 2023, featuring the double-platinum-winning song “Sølvskje” feat. Amara (2024) became the most successful song with pop rap elements. Other singles followed in 2025, such as the top 3 tracks “Sjonglerer” and “Overfladisk” as well as the fan favorite “St. Tropez”, which led the trio's sound more and more towards dance music. In 2026, The Bausa reexplored their sound again. With influences from house, jazz, funk and disco, the two singles “Addicted to Your Love” and “Magnetic” were created, which brought The Bausa's music to an international stage. Even before the announcement of their fall tour, the trio released their new double single “Lose Myself/I Wanna”.
