The post-punk band from Manchester will tour this spring and make their way past the Pump House
Since the start of the 80s, The Chameleons have made their mark on British post-punk with a sound in which insistent bass lines, soaring guitars and Mark Burgess' distinctive vocals go hand in hand. The band was discovered early on by legendary BBC presenter John Peel and have since built up a loyal fanbase with their melancholic yet energetic sound that has inspired generations of bands in post-punk, shoegaze and indie rock.
With classics like their debut single In Shreds in the bag, The Chameleons are still current on the live scene. The band today counts the two founding members Mark Burgess and Reg Smithies along with Stephen Rice, Danny Ashberry and Todd Demma, and on March 14 they can be experienced live at the Pump House.
