About the event

EU Album Tour------------From sold-out tours to chart successes: The Howlers are opening a new, dark chapter. The pre-save for the second album “Heavy” is now available — the release will take place in October 2026 via FLG.

After returning in 2025 with the singles “Nightcrawling” and “You Can Be So Cruel” and signing the contract with indie label FLG, London indie rockers The Howlers are back with their new single “Viper”, which will be released on May 7. At the same time, the band is announcing their second album “Heavy”, which will be released on October 9, a bold and intense statement with which The Howlers will open their most formative chapter to date.

Driven by a vibrant riff, an uncompromising rhythm section and raw, urgent energy, “Viper” shows The Howlers from their most immediate side, indie rock'n'roll full of excitement, desire and consequences. The song gives a first taste of “Heavy,” an album on which frontman Adam Young takes his songwriting in much darker and more impulsive directions.

“Viper describes this feeling of being completely attracted to someone even though you clearly recognize the warning signs, this urge to consciously make bad decisions just because of the thrill of what's next, no matter what the consequences are,” explains Young. “You lose yourself together in the moment. But no matter how much you get into the Bonnie and Clyde fantasy, you always get hurt in the end. ”

After a period of upheaval at the end of 2024, a new chapter began for The Howlers: frontman Adam Young reformed the band as a duo together with drummer Toby Richards, a step that fundamentally changed both the sound and the creative direction and gave the band new clarity and identity.

This restart followed a breakthrough year: The self-released debut album “What You've Got To Win It All” was celebrated across Europe and reached the top 10 of the UK Independent Breakers charts as well as several placements in independent, vinyl and physical sales charts. The Howlers received support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Radio X and Absolute Radio, among others, as well as from international playlist placements on Apple Music and Spotify.

This success also continued live: A completely sold-out UK headline tour with 18 dates finally established the band as one of the most exciting live bands in Great Britain. This was followed by a European tour with sold-out shows in eight countries, which had already tested new material, which ultimately laid the foundation for “Heavy.”

While the debut album was heavily influenced by themes such as grief and personal loss, “Heavy” emerges from a completely different emotional space. The album moves between desire and consistency, loss of control and reality, supported by the appeal of the night, impulsive decisions and the sobering clarity afterwards.

For a band that has always made honesty their trademark and built up an extremely loyal fan base, “Heavy” feels like exactly the album The Howlers have been working on all along.

With an extensive UK and European headline tour to follow, 2026 could finally be the year in which the band celebrates their breakthrough on a broad level.
