After returning in 2025 with the singles “Nightcrawling” and “You Can Be So Cruel,” the London-based indie rockers The Howlers are back with their new single “Viper,” which came out on May 7. The newest release follows up with the announcement of their second album, 'Heavy', due out on October 9 — a bold, sensuous statement as the band enters their most defining chapter to date.
Driven by a pulsating riff, an inexorable rhythm section and raw, intrusive energy, “Viper” captures The Howlers at their most direct -- indie rock 'n' roll rooted in excitement, desire and consequence. It sets the tone for 'Heavy', an album in which frontman Adam Young takes his songwriting into darker and more impulsive territory.
After a period of change in late 2024, The Howlers entered a new phase, with Adam Young rebuilding the project as a duo alongside drummer Toby Richards — a shift that transformed both the band's sound and creative direction and provided a renewed sense of focus and identity.
This reset came on top of a breakthrough year. Their self-financed debut album 'What You've Got to Lose to Win It All' was met with great European acclaim, reaching the Top 10 on the UK Independent Breakers Charts. That momentum directly translated to the stage, where a sold-out headliner tour of the UK of 18 dates cemented the band as one of the country's most exciting live names, followed by a European tour with sold-out concerts in eight countries.
Where the debut was marked by grief and personal loss, 'Heavy' springs from a completely different place. Driven by the tension between desire and consequence, bravado and reality, the album is illuminated by the attraction of the night, the intoxication of impulse and the lucid afterthought that follows afterwards.

Blåøjet is a Danish post-punk-and-pop band that attacks the status quo with ice-cold irony and raw intensity. Born out of friendship and dissatisfaction with the self-fat and uniform, they write Danish songs that criticise everything from the manosphere and rising individualism, to the grey, Copenhagen-esque complacency.
With 8 years of concerts in the back, Blåøjet delivers an uncompromising energy on stage: hammering drums, heavy bass, cutting guitar and commanding lead vocals. Inspired by Scandinavian wistfulness, Colombian cumbia and the new punk wave, the band creates an expression that is both reflective and aggressive.
