The Ocean are embarking on a space escape with a new album and a refreshed line-up. The group will perform with material from the upcoming “Solaris” on December 8 at the Krakow Hype Park and a day later in the Warsaw club Proxima. In both cities you will also see the Belgian bands Psychonaut and Pothamus.

About the event

The Ocean are back with a new album, “Solaris”, which will be released on September 25. The album, inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky's film of the same name, was recorded at the iconic Hansa Studio in Berlin, where materials such as David Bowie's “Heroes”, Iggy Pop's “Lust for Life” and Depeche Mode's “Construction Time Again” were created. The Ocean's signature style, based on atmospheric post-metal, takes on a new dimension thanks to line-up changes, with drummer Jordi Farré of Crippled Black Phoenix and Dolch, vocalist Lane Shi of Elizabeth Colour Wheel, guitarists Emmanuel Jessua of Hypno5e and Marco Gennaro, and vocalist Enrico Tiberi of Dark Side Bright Side. “Solaris” is a place where fiction collides with reality, and at the same time an invitation to further wander from The Ocean - into space, but also into the unknown. This tour will be served twice in December by the formation led by Robin Staps!

At the concerts in Krakow and Warsaw, the Belgian Psychonaut will perform as a special guest - one of the most dynamically operating post-metal bands in recent years, in whose music you can additionally hear progressive and psychedelic echoes. His discography closes with the album “World Maker” released last year.

Both concerts will be opened by the Belgian band Pothamus, mixing sludge with post-metal. Last year, Pelagic Records released their second album, “ABUR”.
