What happens when great actors get a script considered by many to be one of the worst in the history of cinema? Tommy Wiseau's 2003 original “The Room” consumed $6 million and months of filming, becoming a cult phenomenon. The new version was shot in less than 12 hours, almost without a budget, with Bob Odenkirk, Bella Heathcote, Kate Siegel and Greg Sestero, under the guidance of executive producer Mike Flanagan. Without rehearsals, using only prompters, the actors played the material with absolute seriousness and almost Shakespearean pathos, and all for a noble cause.
