After a breathtaking concert in autumn 2025, The Scratch will return to the Pump House with their special and festive mix of Irish folk and metal
The Scratch started as a project between friends in Dublin, but after a viral video from the Rory Gallagher Festival in 2017, it quickly grew into something far bigger. Since then, they have made a strong mark with the album Mind Yourself (2023), which went #1 on the Irish vinyl chart and #3 on the official album chart. The album was nominated for Irish Album of the Year at the Choice Music Prize, and the band has since garnered attention from BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6, among others, as well as appearing on The Late Late Show.
They have been constantly on the move in recent years: touring the US with Dropkick Murphys, playing festivals around Europe, visiting Australia with Dermot Kennedy and appearing on stage at Download Festival in the UK. At the same time, their music has found its way into the Netflix series House of Guinness.
With their third album Pull Like A Dog, due out March 6, 2026, the band picks up the threads of their previous releases and pushes their sound further. The title is taken from a quote about closing your eyes and just giving yourself fully, an approach that also characterizes the band itself. As they say: it's all about “sending it” and seeing what happens.
The Scratch is known for concerts where the audience gets carried away from the first second and where pace, presence and community take center stage. It's set up for a night when anything can happen.
