The Streets rustle up in Store VEGA
Things are unlikely to go quietly until November when English rap star Mike Skinner takes over Store VEGA.
Historically, the 47-year-old Englishman has delivered wild Danish shows. Most recently, it happened at Tinderbox in Odense last year, where he took the breath away from the audience with his energy and created a regular folk party in front of the stage.
Since their breakthrough with Original Pirate Material in 2002, The Streets have redefined British rap and electronic music with their distinctive blend of spoken word, UK garage and sharp everyday portraits.
The breakthrough was followed by a series of critically acclaimed releases — not least A Grand Don't Come For Free, which is now, for the first time ever, being performed in its entirety live at the autumn concerts.
The concert at Store VEGA will thus be a special evening where the audience can experience the album as a single narrative — combined with selected favorites from Mike Skinner's catalog.
It will be a unique opportunity to experience The Streets in an ambitious and fully cast live format, where both old and new songs merge on stage.
