The Tallest Man on Earth

“Just Beyond Endless Mountain”

“Matsson has written some of the 21st century's best and most compelling folk songs”.

So big are the words when acclaimed US cultural media Paste has to describe Swede Kristian Matsson, better known as The Tallest Man On Earth. It says something both about his musical masterclass and status as one of modern people's international giants.

The nerve and intensity of The Tallest Man On Earth's songs has been compared to a young Bob Dylan, but like his American role model, Matsson's has evolved in a more mature, reflective and sophisticated direction throughout the 20 years since releasing his self-titled debut EP in 2006.

The result is at once new and familiar: The Tallest Man On Earth occupies new territory without giving purchase to the heartfelt glow of his songwriting, propelled forward by Matsson's poetic guitar ornamentations and immersive, intense vocals.
