Elisa, a former nurse, earns money by stuffing animals and caring for her comatose daughter. When the girl dies, the mother begins to believe that she can provide the deceased with eternal life through taxidermy. He goes from animals to humans, murdering in the name of his new mission. He also kidnaps a teenage neighbor, whom he forces to replace her dead daughter. “The Taxidermist” is a macabre horror with the tension of a thriller in which mourning turns into a religious obsession. Both the prepared bodies and Elisa's confidence that she is doing good are frightening here. A gloomy, violent film about a woman who cannot come to terms with death and in order to overcome it is ready to kill.
