The Tiger Lillies, with their version of the Dark Cabaret characterized by brilliant musicality, macabre warmth and absurd humor, are coming to the TEEPEE AT THE CHANCELLERY for four days.
The “Brecht Street Opera Trio,” as the gloomy avant-gardists call themselves, was inspired by Hoffmann's Struwwelpeter to Alfred Döblin's Berlin Alexanderplatz, Büchner's Woyzeck and Wedekind's Lulu to H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allen Poe. And this time it is mainly William Shakespeare with Hamlet's Madness, Macbeth's Murders and the imaginary outbreaks of the “Storm,” which they combine with the favorite pieces of charismatic lead singer Martyn Jacques.
