The Wallflowers

The concert is organized by Live Nation + Amager Bio & BETA
Tickets from February 20 at 10am

When The Wallflowers occupy Amager Bio in 2026, it will be with a catalog of songs that have left distinct tracks in modern American rock. At its center is Jakob Dylan -- singer-songwriter, guitarist and the band's creative focal point -- with his distinctive voice and an uncompromising approach to the classical craft.

The Wallflowers were formed in Los Angeles in the early 90s and released their debut album 'The Wallflowers' in 1992. The big break came with 'Bringing Down the Horse' (1996), powered by the singles '6th Avenue Heartach' and the Grammy-winning main work 'One Headlight'. The latter became not just the band's signature song, but also a milestone in alternative rock—and has since been highlighted as one of the greatest songs in the genre.

Genre-wise, The Wallflowers move between roots rock, heartland rock and alternative rock. The music is melodic and well-arranged with a focus on interplay, dynamics and strong choruses. Jakob Dylan's lyrics revolve around longing, loss, hope and identity — delivered with a sobering honesty that gives the songs both heaviness and recognizability.

The concert consists of 2 sets:
1st set: The Wallflowers — Bringing Down The Horse (30th Anniversary)
2nd set: Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers (50th Anniversary debut)
