Get ready for Swedish thunderstorm as Thundermother hits Little VEGA
After their two most recent releases, Heat Wave (2020) and Dirty & Divine (2025), the Swedish hard rock musicians are again soon to be album-updated with Mothers of Thunder.
The record was released on the leading rock and heavy metal record label, Napalm Records, which houses names such as Alter Bridge, Accept and Powerwolf. The album is set for release on February 5 next year.
The release is a tense and high-energy collection of songs that, with breakneck riffs, rock-solid melodies and powerful vocals, are the perfect sounding board to blow horns and set your neck muscles in motion.
For if there is anything Thundermother masters, it is to stand on a stage.
They've warmed up for the legendary Scorpions and Judas Priest, played at iconic festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze and Sweden Rock, and when they laid their way past COPENHELL in 2022, GAFFA was ready with the reviewer pen and headline:
“Rumor had it in advance that Swedish Thundermother is something to see. The rumor was not exaggerated.”
Heavymetal.dk was also excited when they reviewed the group's latest release Dirty & Divine (2025) and especially highlighted the hard rock anthem “So Close” with the lines:
“One thing is clear: Swedes can sing. There's soul on “So Close,” whether sung or rumbled, quite on par with Tina Turner and way past Brian Johnson.”
The new album is the band's seventh of its kind and once again demonstrates Thundermother's superior knowledge of the electric axes and barrels of war.
On March 30, you can see for yourself when the Swedish hard rock goddesses aim their musical thunder wedge at Little VEGA.
