Contour belts, their colors and ornaments will become the beginning of a conversation about the former noble fashion. We will look at what the garment said about the person wearing it and why certain fabrics were particularly valued. We will also look for patterns and details that evoke our associations. In the artistic part, we will use inspirations taken from the fabrics viewed.
Meetings at a friendly pace are a series of four meetings combining acquaintance with museum objects with conversation and artistic activities. We will look at the old ways of protecting the house, gilded candlesticks and contour belts. Through these items we will talk about safety, light and the importance of clothing — things that belonged to the everyday life of the former inhabitants, and in various forms accompany us.
