Jozef Jakubczyk

Piotrkowski artist, born in 1954, whose work is primarily related to artistic fabric, painting and photography. He graduated from PWSSP in Łódź, which he graduated in 1979. For many years he has been associated with the international artistic community — his works have been presented in 120 individual and several dozen collective exhibitions.

The artist carried out a significant part of his exhibition activity in France, where he presented his works in all major cities from Paris, through Lyon, Lille, to Bordeaux and Toulouse, as well as as guest of honor, in many smaller centers, but extremely important for culture, such as: La Chaise-Dieu, Rocamadour, Aigues-Mortes, or Soreze, gaining recognition the public and the artistic community.

He also participated (2009, 2010) in prestigious exhibitions organized by the Salon de la Nationale des Beaux-Arts, Carroussel du Louvre in Paris — one of the most important places for the presentation of art in France. Winner of artistic distinctions, including the Gold Medal for the “Nude” fabric at the Salon Grands Formats in Saint-Raphael. In 2018 he opened his Atelier JJ in Provence — Tourrettes-Var.

The central place in the artist's work is occupied by nature — an inexhaustible source of inspiration, delight and reflection. Regardless of the medium used, the rhythms of nature, organic structures, richness of forms and subtle relationships between light, color and space become the starting point for creating an author's artistic expression.

His works emit positive and optimistic energy, they are distinguished by attention to composition, color selection and unique mood. Freedom of workshop, mastery of nature observation and own interpretation of reality — these are the greatest assets of Józef Jakubczyk's work.
