Two Lives

WINNER: BEST ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL

Fatima is the youngest of a close-knit French-Algerian family. She's a dutiful daughter and an accomplished student, but beneath the surface she struggles with emotions and dreams that don't fit in with the expectations she's grown up with.

As she moves between the new freedom of university and the fixed confines of home, she is confronted with the question: Who is she when no one sees her?

TWO LIVES is a touching and nuanced coming-of-age tale about faith, identity and the courage to live one's own life — delivered by an award-winning leading role of a special kind.
