Tom travels to a remote farm for his boyfriend's funeral but soon discovers that his family don’t know who he is or his relation to their son. In this oppressive rural environment, truth becomes dangerous. Silence, suspicion and suppressed desire simmer beneath the surface, as mud, blood and shadows fill the stage.
Tom finds himself trapped in a web of lies, silences and threats as the farm gradually transforms into the setting for a dangerous game, revealing the violence that can hide beneath the appearance of normalcy.
Following a highly successful run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last summer, the internationally acclaimed production led by actor and producer Armando Babaioff and a remarkable ensemble makes its London debut and promises a deeply moving and thought-provoking theatrical experience.
Presented by the Barbican in association with AB Produções and The Pleasance.
Tom at the Farm is sponsored by Brazil's Ministry of Culture.

Seductive, volatile and fiercely political, this staggering five-star production by Armando Babaioff is a raw and gripping confrontation with masculinity, homophobia and the patriarchy.
