Opera in three acts. The work is performed in the original, Italian language version with subtitles in Polish.

Tosca is considered a flagship example of veristic opera, of which Puccini was one of the main representatives. It is undoubtedly a story full of shocking realism drawn from life, but also — if not above all — a moving story of tragic love. Tosca is one of Puccini's most famous works and one of the operas that most often hosts on world stages. The popularity of this title is not accidental. The piece is distinguished by dynamic action from a great crime story, as well as varied music, which is easily remembered thanks to the use of theme themes. The drama of Cavaradossi and Toska is also attractive because it is universal, invariably close to subsequent generations of viewers — in each era, individuals are entangled in the course of history, the embers of which ruthlessly grind even the noblest feelings.
