The historically detailed production by Boleslaw Barlog has featured the biggest stars in opera history for over 50 years. Following the sudden death of Antonino Fogliani, the young Italian conductor Leonardo Sini, who has repeatedly appeared as a Puccini interpreter since his international breakthrough as winner of the Sir Georg Solti Conducting Competition in 2017.
