Total Immersion: The Music of Rebecca Saunders - Chamber Mus

“It's important to me to ask myself a completely new question every time” says the British composer Rebecca Saunders "-to confront myself with the unknown”. And her music continues to push at the boundaries of sound itself, exploring silence as well as space in an evolving creative journey that has made her one of the most compelling and respected musical voices of our century. This afternoon concert focuses on her solo and chamber works, performed by the superb young artists of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Music that is small-scale only in the most literal sense.
