Patriotism Today. Warsaw Through the Eyes of Migrant Women – The Finale of the “Warsaw Caught My Eye” Workshops

As Poland’s National Independence Day approaches, the Museum of Warsaw and the Multicultural Centre invite you to explore patriotism from a different perspective – through the eyes of migrant women from Belarus, Ukraine and Kaliningrad (Königsberg).

During the final guided tour, the participants will share personal stories inspired by objects from the The Things of Warsaw exhibition. They will talk about memory, identity, freedom and the search for a place to belong.

Over the past four weeks, we have been talking and working together on stories about patriotism – whether it still matters in today's world and what it means to us. Now we invite you to join the conversation. Is patriotism only about the country where we were born? Or can it also mean caring for the place where we live, building connections and finding shared values despite our different experiences?

This event marks the finale of a series of storytelling workshops organised by the Museum of Warsaw and the Multicultural Centre for people with migration experience, as part of the “Patriotyzm jutra” project.
