Tradwife, conspiracy and the perfect life for the show — the reunion around the premiere of 'Yesteryear'

We invite you to a unique event on the occasion of one of the loudest premieres on the Polish publishing market in 2026! “Yesteryear” by Caro Claire Burke — the debut novel about which the whole world speaks and for which Anne Hathaway bought the rights to film (she will play the main role and will be the executive producer of the film) — is coming to Poland, and a whole host of readers are waiting for this book.

The meeting will take place in the form of a recording of the podcast “Nobody asked us, but we will speak anyway” live (audio).

The guest will be Dominika Zzajczkowska, a cultural scientist and doctoral student at the Doctoral School of Humanities of the University of Applied Sciences. In her research, she deals with women's movements, social media and popular culture phenomena, and is currently preparing a doctoral dissertation on conservative women's online communities and radicalization processes occurring in these environments.

Together we will talk about what lies behind the tradwife phenomenon — both in novel fiction and in the reality of social media. Is the perfect traditional life for show just aesthetics, or is it a gateway to much more disturbing narratives?

About the podcast: Kasia Chrobak and Agnieszka Szczepanek meet every two weeks to talk about culture, society and what it means to be a feminist, because they define it all the time. The podcast has been published since 2020 and its producer is Estrada Poznańska.
