“About Two Who Stole the Moon” is the latest play by Ewa Platt, a young generation director who describes her show as a “stand-up of intimate matters, pain and trauma”, using a joke as a shield, trying to prevent criticism or her own disappointment. It is a story about Jack (Weronika Nawieśniak) and Plack (Martyna Matoliniec), two women from early childhood marked by the label of others, “not such”. The rebellion of the protagonists, the attempt to deconstruct the existing reality, the undermining of social values are the impulse to go deep into the character — to see what is inside, hidden, repressed. It is a fairy tale about shame, about everything that we do not want to talk about, know, remember at all.
