“Tribute to Komeda” is a unique concert dedicated to the work of Krzysztof Komeda — one of the most important and inspiring Polish jazz composers, whose music has been permanently inscribed in the history of Polish jazz and world cinema. Excellent artists will meet on stage: Andrzej Jagodziński Trio, Agnieszka Wilczyńska and Henryk Miśkiewicz. Their interpretations of Komeda's composition combine respect for the original character of his music with the individual artistic language of the performers. Jazz freedom, excellent improvisation and exceptional musical sensitivity create a space where well-known themes gain new sound and emotional depth.

The program will include Komeda's compositions, including works related to his film work — full of characteristic lyricism, melancholy and extraordinary cinematic imagination. There will also be jazz themes that have become part of the canon of Polish music. The concert will not only be a meeting with the achievements of the great artist, but also a musical dialogue of three outstanding personalities of the Polish jazz scene. “Tribute to Comedy” is a journey through emotions, images and sounds that, despite the passing of the years, still remain extremely relevant and moving.
