Trio Tihai

Trio Tihai is a Berlin ensemble for acoustic world music — created from the city's musical melting pot. Three musicians from different backgrounds meet here: Claus Rückbeil with the Indian Bansuri flute, Marko Jovanović with the harmonica and Lutz Schlosser with guitar in a mood inspired by Jimi Hendrix.

Together, they combine Indian raga tradition, Balkan melodies and gypsy jazz with elements of blues, folk, tango and reggae. The repertoire includes original compositions as well as rarely performed pieces from various musical traditions.

Working together, they develop their music from the moment. Improvisation is central to this: The pieces are created in movement and transfer various influences into independent, improvisational music, which has a direct effect due to its intensity and atmospheric density.

Trio Tihai stands for music that unfolds between rhythmic energy and narrative openness and is reshaped in every concert.

The trio presents their debut album as part of their CD release concert.
