Based on a text by Joanna Kulmova.
Tuliluli is a performance — a kind of theatrical installation. The script was created with the youngest viewer in mind, who does not yet think in a fictional way. The dramaturgy of the play is secondary here. Simple structural frames—guided from waking up to falling asleep again—are complemented by art and movement. Soft, fluffy space, play of lights, round shapes promote the child's sense of security, stimulate his creativity and desire to explore the world. Dance and pantomime elements allow you to tame the surrounding space.
In the course of several theatrical etudes, the participants, together with the actresses, make a journey through the world of the night sky: they play with moonlight, balloon clouds, fly to the moon, which falls to the ground in the form of a large bright ball. Each of the phenomena is accompanied by a different musical sound, giving the impression that the sky is buzzing with its own music.
The performance was inspired by the artistic and research project “Baby space” by Dalija Aćin Thelander realized by Art Stations Foundation/Stary Browar Nowy Taniec dla Dzieci.
From reviews:
“The show proposes an intense move into the world of imagination. It is driven by means of expression that refer to the simplest experiences, the language of gestures and the sounds that the viewer uses. [...] it is a successful initiation theater, taming with the theatrical way of formulating thoughts and awakening emotions through play. [...] With the premiere of Schabowska Pinocchio, he took another step towards the Center for the Arts for Children and Youth, which he intends to transform into. Even today it is difficult to imagine a theatre in Łódź without Tulilula.”
