Doubt + The Band + Birds in Flight + Marí

Ideal Bar explodes with solid, beautiful rock tones from four strong names

Doubt
Rooted in punk, hardcore, progessive metal, math rock and noiserock, audiences can look forward to a bang of a concert as Doubt delivers glaringly beautiful and noisy tones.

The band most recently released the album Kilogram in 2022, which according to GAFFA's four-star review: “hits an area of punk that is underrepresented on the Danish music scene”.

The Ribbon
The band is an Aarhusian trio that plays direct and uncompromising rock/punk with Danish lyrics. With roots in bands such as Paintgrensens Toldere, Yung, Cola Freaks, Emenkaya and Brunsten, they create songs with a raw and insistent expression.

The band combines intense, forward-looking energy with a surprising poetic heaviness — especially in the band's lyrics, which strike a rare nerve and linger.

Birds In Flight
Birds in Flight plays simple and straightforward rock music. The band rests on the shoulders of everything from Roy Orbison to Nirvana.

2018 saw the release of the band's debut album, Get Real Big, which is a collection of solid and classic rock tracks that really cement the band's sense of catchy melodies and honest rock energy that both nods to the past and feels present in the present.

Mari
Marí writes songs in which organic folk-rock melodies move in a single, acoustic soundscape.

In 2023, she released her debut album, Making Peace with Uncertainty, which caused a stir among both Danish and international reviewers.

“The songs are dark and beautiful... but also hold a hope for the light at the end of the dark” GAFFA wrote in a four-star concert review in Aarhus Kunsthal featuring the songs from the debut album.
