“Faces of Eurofolk”

The International Folklore Festival “Eurofolk” was hosted in Zamość for the twenty-third time and became an opportunity for the author of the exhibition to make more portraits to the participants of the festival. The photos presented at the exhibition were taken during the last decade of performances of the festival participants on the Zamość stage.

Alina Ostasz, AFRP photographer artist, has been working with photography since 2015, when she came to photography workshops at ZDK. In 2016, she became a member of the Zamojska Photographic Group — the Creative Group.
Despite numerous daily family and professional responsibilities, he actively participates in the group's work such as: organization of exhibitions, outdoor events or training meetings and workshops. She has also participated in more than 60 collective exhibitions of the ZGF GT and in 10 Zamojskie Previews of Photography (Silver medal of the FKRP “For photographic creativity” in the VII ZPF and the Silver medal of the FKRP “For photographic creativity” in the XII ZPF). She was the co-author of the exhibition “On the Mountain Trail” and the author of the exhibitions “So I see it” and “On the mountain trails”.
Alina Ostasz's photography is more than just photography, it's a great passion. Her photos are not banal, they are sophisticated, aesthetically nice and well composed, she has a good eye and a sense of the moment. “Faces of Eurofolk” is an exhibition of portrait photographs of festival participants. A portrait is more than a dead picture. It shows emotions, tells some story, emphasizes the moment. History, emotions, light and frame are the basics of portrait photography. The selection of frames and the way of conveying feelings in photographic language are the strengths of the exhibition.
