Kasper Hoff's books are full of strange, dangerous and funny creatures. For this event, he talks about where he has found inspiration for the series 'The Guardian of the Collection', 'The Hunt for the Truth' and his brand new horror series, 'The Island'. For example, you need to hear about the flying serpent god Quetzalcoatl, the evil spirit Kilijamba who can eat your soul, and the fire-breathing pet pig Basemand.
Then it's your turn to get ideas! You must create your very own wild creatures, draw them and unfold their stories.
It's going to be a wild Saturday at the main library!
Who can you meet? Kasper Hoff has written over 50 books for children and young people, including the series' Gamerz ', 'Doctor Z', 'The Keeper of the Collection', 'The Hunt for Truth' and 'The Island'. His books have been nominated for the children's book award Orla Prize seven times and won the award for funniest book with 'The Boy Who Got Things in His Head'. His books are both fun and pleasant, and he is very good at coming up with imaginative and strange creatures — and he is very good at learning from them.

For non-Danish speakers This event is for tweens interested in fantasy, horror and fantastic creatures and who want to learn to come up with and draw beats and monsters themselves. Het instructies wordt in het Engelsk, så.
It is not necessary - but very welcome - for grownups to participate with their kids. It is possible to stay in the nearby areas and at the library during the workshop.
If you reserve a ticket for grownups, we expect you to participate in the drawing exercises — which you're very welcome to do.
