BARAKAH Theatre is taking on another iconic work — this time David Lynch's series “Twin Peaks Town”.
In a quiet town somewhere in the north of the United States, the body of a student, Laura Palmer, is found... no, no, no. We are not interested in the famous question: “Who killed Laura Palmer?” We are interested in what happened to her before. Bringing the world of Twin Peaks to the present day, we deconstruct human relationships, analyzing the lack of love between daughter and father or the lack of support in the mother as in the painting “Evil Mother” by Giovanni Segantini. We draw from “Blue Velvet” and other Lynch images, we draw from everyday life and current problems, we wonder what dualism is in the eternal journey of souls between good and evil.
“Twin Peaks: Knock on the Red Door” is not only theatrical inspiration from David Lynch's cult series. It's definitely something more — we bring the twin peaks heroes and the lynch, surreal atmosphere to another time and space.
