The internationally popular anime of legendary director Makoto Shinkaia returns to cinemas for the 10th anniversary of its release.

The first part of Makoto Shinkai's so-called “disaster trilogy”, followed by the films “Weathering With You” (2019) and “Suzume” (2022). The common theme of the director's films is the frequent natural disasters in Japan.

Mitsuha and Taki do not know each other and lead completely different lives. However, when Mitsuha wishes to leave his mountain town and live in bustling Tokyo, high school students experience a strange phenomenon. Although they do not know each other, in a dream they begin to change bodies. Mitsuha dreams of being a boyfriend living in Tokyo, and Taki about being a girl from a rural town he has never visited. What does this newfound connection mean? And how will their fates connect?

The film was appreciated by viewers for the way the narration is conducted, the artistry of the animation, but also the soundtrack, for which the Japanese band Radwimps is responsible.
