TYFLO-ART — A NEW DIMENSION OF PAINTING

Can you see art... with your hands? We invite you to the unique event “TYFLO-ART — a new dimension of painting”, which breaks traditional barriers and proves that painting means much more than what is visible to the eyes. It is an invitation to a world where art can be known through different senses! Event dedicated to people with visual disabilities — blind and visually impaired.

In the lobby of the Rzeszów Cellars, an installation will be presented allowing the discovery of painting through touch and hearing. On a special desktop there will be typhlography, that is, a convex, spatial representation of the image, accompanied by an audio description - an audio description of the work. The installation will be complemented by the oil painting “The Princess and the Pirate”, inspired by Jacek Kaczmarski's song of the same name.

“TYFLO-ART” is an inclusive initiative aimed at both sighted and visually impaired people — the blind and visually impaired. It is a space of shared experience of art, integration and discovery of culture without barriers. Here instead of the traditional “Do not touch the exhibits!” We encourage you to touch, feel and rediscover art!

The initiative is organized by Agnieszka Skatuła and Rzeszów Dom Kultury as part of the grant program “#współtworzyMYkulturę”
