The biggest metal band from the Faroe Islands? Naturally, we are talking about Týr, who have been fighting the world stage for nearly thirty years thanks to an elevated mix of power metal and folk metal. The music of the Faroese will quickly transport you to the world of Norse mythology and the Vikings. The formation, whose name refers to the Scandinavian god of war, has nine albums to their credit, and the last of them, “Battle Ballads”, was released two years ago. At the December concerts you can expect news from the upcoming material!
If the band calls their style “adventure metal”, then this is a sign that at his concert you can not be bored. The Swedes of Twilight Force are famous for combining triumphant melodies and elaborate arrangements, and their performances take listeners to a magical land full of heroic stories known as the Twilight Kingdom.
Dragonland was formed in 2001 and with the release of their first two albums, the debut “The Battle of the Ivory Plains” and “Holy War”, marked a lasting mark on the scene of the then returning power metal scene. In their work, the Gothenburg group weaves inspirations from film and classical music, as well as Egyptology and Viking culture, which perfectly harmonize with the fantastic world they create.
The concerts will be opened by the Dutch formation Vanaheim, which has been telling its folk tales for more than ten years. They dress their conceptual storytelling in epic folk metal, based on death- and paganmetal riffs, groove and Dutch lyrics. On September 4, their latest album, “Roede voor de Borst”, will see the light of day.
