“Footprints are more important than all directions...

I had those marks marked out by him.

Although I wonder if it was he who meant the footprints I followed, or I, on which he, like a beast, followed my youth.

The play “Needle Ear” by Teatr Przedmieście through a text by the outstanding Polish writer Wiesław Myśliwski tries to touch upon the most important issues of fate, passing away and love.

The adaptation of Adamska — Szukały focuses on the metaphysical relationship of the protagonist — himself. What would happen if we could meet ourselves from 50 years ago, even 60 years ago... Could we protect ourselves from the mistakes of youth? A man surrenders to memories, is an involuntary participant in them or a more passive observer. At different times, he meets people who left a mark on him, left a mark on him. He sums up his life, makes a reckoning and is amazed at his own existence.

At the moment of death, are we alone with the former, face to face? Or maybe death has just our face... or the person we loved the most in life...
