What if, standing on the precipice, you dared to jump into the unknown? After all, it could not be worse... This is exactly the decision made by the heroines of the play “The Fugitives”, what consequences will they suffer?

Margot (Marta Ledwoń) — mother and wife, unnoticed by her family, tired of everyday life, in which she lost herself, meets Claude (Magdalena Sztejman) — a mature woman, left by her son in an old people's home. They juxtapose their lives by betting on the tragedy that befalls each of them. Which takes precedence in escaping from everyday life?

“Runaways” directed by Marek Pasieczny is an existential comedy that treats the road as a metaphor for home. A show in which everyone will see at least a part of themselves. A story about courage, the search for one's self and the pursuit of happiness. “Runaways” is a demonstration of female friendship, which is born at the least expected moment. Despite the fact that the relationship of the heroines begins with a quarrel, and then there is no lack of mutual criticism, it is an image of female solidarity. Margot and Claude, seemingly so different, make the most difficult journey together — deep into the soul. The heroines build a bond that satisfies the emptiness that digests them from the inside.

Is there a Margot who does not appear in the context of her family? Is her identity just being a mother and wife?

Can Claude, despite his age, still lead an exciting life? Will her young soul hidden in the body of an older woman find her happiness?
