It is teeming with birds in the High School Songbook. In fact, there are so many winged creatures fluttering around between the blue songbook cover that at least one bird appears in every third high school song.
The bird is thus one of the most frequently used phenomena in the songbook, but due to the biodiversity crisis, many of the songbook's most celebrated birds are now categorized as endangered or endangered species.
In this song lecture we will sing our way through the Danish bird population, and take a closer look at how it stands with the different species in the songbook and in nature. Because while things have gone the wrong way for several of the native species, there are exceptions -- and they might need a song, too.
The singing lecture is hosted by Mikkel Skovgaard, historian and publisher of the college songbook.
Just like the morning song, the event is free and requires no registration.
