“UGANDA, tales from the green heart of Africa” The nature of equatorial Africa is a vibrant and complex world, where wildness is constantly intertwined with the daily life of people.

I invite you to an intimate, sensitive story about a journey through the extraordinary Uganda — a land of stunning biodiversity, mystical rainforests and open savannas.

During the meeting, Michał Stanecki will take you on a hike through Uganda's national parks — from endless spaces full of exotic avifauna and mammals, to the humid, dense forests of Bwindi, where he came face to face with the masterpiece of evolution — the Mountain Gorillas.

However, this story is more than a traditional slideshow. The focus of the story will be not only the animals themselves and the unique microclimates, but also the social and cultural context, which cannot be separated from nature there. Michał will talk about the relationships connecting local communities with the surrounding nature and about moving, authentic encounters with people whom he had the opportunity to meet “on and along the way”.
