Ulla Meinecke with Reinmar Henschke

What times. Ulla Meinecke's love lyrics and everyday stories certainly can't conjure up better times, but forget them for a few hours and let them breathe a sigh of relief.

In her new program, too, her audience can look forward to love songs that you have never heard before, to sung poetry — without kitsch, but with depth.

Ulla Meinecke is the master of accurate words. Her stories are images of everyday life that explore the special in an incomparable way. The lyrics of the self-proclaimed “hardcore romantic” deal with one big theme — about true love; about tender beginnings, small escapes, big dramas and strong departures.

Look forward to an evening of exciting and humorous insights and musical trips together with pianist and composer Reinmar Henschke. Of course, all of Ulla Meinecke's hits will also be heard — and many new ones as well.

Ulla Meinecke has sold well over one million records of her albums. Ulla Meinecke is a composer, song poet and was already a rock and pop singer when the genres were barely mentioned in Germany.

Press reviews: “She is indisputably the grande dame of poetic German pop music. “(The Mirror)

“Ulla Meinecke, who has written three books, is also a great speaker who perfectly translates almost all of her own texts into music. She is still an outstanding singer, congenially accompanied by Reinmar Henschke, and also surprises and impresses with new pieces. Two hours are almost over, then the duo goes into the encore and Meinecke plays — in the same pitch as 41 years ago — the song that all fans have been waiting for: “Die Tänzerin”. (FAZ)

“Ulla Meinecke gave a close-up concert at the sold-out Kultbahnhof and, with her warm and rough voice, transposed passion and wit, thoughtfulness and nonchalance. Musically supported by multi-instrumentalist Reinmar Henschke, Meinecke's powerful voice was enough to completely fill the hall. The audience did not want to let Meinecke go off stage and called for encore after encore. Ulla Meinecke is and remains the grande dame of poetic German-language songs. “(SZ)
