“To die of laughter” is full of warmth and humor, and at times a touching story about the fact that true friendship survives even death, and it is never too late to dream. That's what Mary was like... she loved life above all else, and for 30 years she regularly met her friends at a bridge night. Until one day she said goodbye to this world, leaving her companions without a fourth to the bridge.

For Connie, Millie and Lena, three esteemed Southern ladies, the loss of a friend is a real blow, but not a reason to be stuck in mourning with your hands folded. To honor Mary's memory, they “borrow” an urn of her ashes from the funeral home, not necessarily legally, and thus begins the craziest adventure of their lives. Anything can happen that night, including police intervention and a stripper visit. And although it is not entirely known where the box of the favorite cookies of the celestials came from at the party, it is certain that what will happen to the girls is the quintessence of Mary's sense of humor, who has always believed that it is better to “die of laughter” than to live without joy.
