Since 2009, Kevin Starrs and Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats have been building their own world. The band emerged from the British underground with a sound that draws on psychedelic pop's wry melodies, vocal harmonies and mischievous arrangements, but also on proto-metal's dissonance, thunder and dark imagery. The result is not pure nostalgia, but a very special musical universe in which what feels familiar is experienced as completely new.

Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats still stands as a band in its own caliber. They evoke the magical moods of heavy music's past, but have their very own distinctive sound. Onstage, the songs turn into a dense, unsettling and alluring experience, with every riff and every harmony opening the door further into the band's own maze.
