UNDER THE SKY OF PARIS
On October 18, 2026, the Stodoła Club in Warsaw will host the concert “Under the Sky of Paris” — a musical tribute to the legends of the French chanson performed by the Champs Elysées Chansons Françaises orchestra.
The hits of Charles Aznavour, Joe Dassin, Édith Piaf, Dalida, Mireille Mathieu, Michel Legrand and other great artists of the French scene will sound in an elegant, jazz-symphonic sound and performed by charismatic French singers.
Parisian romance, great music and the atmosphere of true French chic come together in the concert program “Under the sky of Paris”, which brings back to the stage the golden cards of the history of the French chanson. The repertoire includes works by Charles Aznavour, Joe Dassin, Édith Piaf, Dalida, Mireille Mathieu, Sasha Distel, Yves Montand and many other legendary performers. Well-known melodies acquire a new, unique sound thanks to elegant jazz-symphonic arrangements created especially for the orchestra by composer Jean-Christophe Dicostanzo.
The Champs Elysées Chansons Françaises project was created in 2015 by Laurent and Catherine Gérard as a tribute to the great tradition of the French chanson. A special place in its history is occupied by the work of Bernard Gérard - a famous French composer, arranger and conductor who collaborated with Charles Aznavour. Bernard Gérard is the father of Laurent Gérard, artistic director and producer of the project, which gives the whole a unique artistic continuity and emphasizes the bond between generations.
The musical director of the project is Laurent Gérard — a jazz drummer, composer and producer who combines classic French chanson with jazz freedom and contemporary stage energy.
The special guests of the evening will be French artists Anne Carrere and Stéphane Bayol. Anne Carrere is recognized as one of the most outstanding contemporary performers of Édith Piaf's repertoire and has performed successfully in more than 30 countries around the world. Stéphane Bayol impresses the audience with his unique voice timbre, stage expression and authentic French charisma.
The program includes more than 30 world-famous works: from atmospheric ballads to spectacular stage stunts, which have become a symbol of the entire era. It is an evening of love, nostalgia, passion and timeless music.
“Under the Sky of Paris” is not just a concert, but a musical journey to the heart of France, where every song becomes history and every song becomes the scene of a great romantic film.
